Our Vision

A community invested in a premier education for it children, and in property values that reflect professional stewardship of common resources.

Our Mission

USC-WAVES supports the highest standard of excellence in public education system for all children in Upper St. Clair. We believe these standards can be achieved through ongoing, public and data-driven decision making, and, that the most efficient uses of public and private funds should be employed with full taxpayer input. In addition, USC-WAVES works to encourage good governance by our leaders, community involvement in school decision making, and an engaged and informed electorate. USC-WAVES will continue to work to ensure this mission.

Our Goals

Our three goals for promoting this mission are:

  • To ensure good governance and community involvement in school decision making.
  • To encourage an engaged and informed electorate.
  • To retain and promote the International Baccalaureate Programme in Upper St. Clair for adherence to the highest academic international standards.

Our Future...Our Pledge

  • WAVES shall stand for thoughtful and considered free speech.
  • WAVES shall include, without bias, people from all political parties with a sincere interest in advocacy of educational value and excellence.
  • WAVES shall work to ensure our school district remains a premier source of quality public education for its residents.
  • WAVES shall support financial management that balances quality education and sound financial decision making.
  • WAVES shall support good governance on the part of our leadership.
  • WAVES shall offer non-partisan, fact-based information and dialog to the community.
  • WAVES shall offer positive & professional input to the decision process.
  • WAVES shall support and help to ensure an informed electorate.
  • WAVES shall support the right of thoughtful, considered and researched opinions to be heard, even if they conflict with the research and recommendations provided by WAVES.
